Granita, Granita Siciliana, Grattachecca, Granité… as I said I’m quite an obsessive person and I am not looking for a cure!
This one is a bit stronger and looks less homogeneous; this is my take on the Granita delicacy with cucumber and elderflower.
For those of you living in sun-forsaken lands, I am really sorry. You could try it with a shot of Gin to keep you warm…
Recipe:
– 300g cucumber
– Juice of 3 lemons
– 180 ml elderflower syrup
– 400 ml apple juice
– 15 mint leaves
Peel the cucumber and mix it together with the other ingredients. Place the preparation in a freezing container and put it in your freezer. Beat the ice after one and a half hour, and then repeat twice every hour.
Take it out from the freezer 10 minutes before serving.
